It’s a Rock Tour you won’t want to miss! Join us as we toast Rock Jones, Ohio Wesleyan’s 16th president, and Melissa Lollar Jones during their final tour for OWU. Rock will retire on June 30, 2023, and we invite you to gather with us to celebrate 15 years of exemplary leadership, forward-looking innovation, and tremendous stewardship of Ohio Wesleyan.
The Rock Tour kicks off in December for a special holiday stop in NYC and then hits the road in 2023! Join other OWU alumni, families, and friends at one of these upcoming tour events to celebrate Rock and Melissa and bid them a fond OWU farewell.

Honor Rock's Legacy
As Ohio Wesleyan’s 16th president, Rock Jones oversaw transformational change at the university, including the creation of the OWU Connection signature student experience during his first year in office. Intended to give students broad-based knowledge, skills, and real-world experience to help them become moral leaders for a global society, the OWU Connection helps all students think big (understand complex issues from multiple academic disciplines), do good (volunteer to help others), go global (gain international perspective), and get real (translate classroom knowledge into real-world experience through internships, research, and other hands-on learning). Through Rock’s collaborative leadership, the OWU faculty reimagined the curriculum to fully incorporate the OWU Connection in the spring of 2022. The forward-thinking, student-focused curriculum requires every student to complete at least one OWU Connection experience.
To honor Rock’s visionary leadership and dedicated service to Ohio Wesleyan University, we encourage donors to make gifts in his honor to the new "Ohio Wesleyan Fund - OWU Connection" fund, which supports Ohio Wesleyan's charge to provide every student with at least one OWU Connection experience.
