  • First Gen is defined as "At least one parent did not attend a 4-year University in the US at the traditional age."
     
    The following students would be first gen:
     
    Mom went to Howard; Dad did not attend college
    Mom graduated Ohio State at 50 years old.
    Student has a sibling who is 20 years older, but parents did not complete college.
    Student is a first-gen American. Parents went to Univ. in another country.
