In the Summer Science Research Program, students work in paid positions for 10 weeks, carrying out cutting-edge research alongside faculty mentors.

Some of the most exciting research and learning happen at the boundaries where two disciplines overlap. OWU faculty create and team-teach classes that combine music and computer science, math and biology, art and medieval studies.
OWU offers more than 90 majors and some 60 minors, and about a third of students combine two or more to create their ultimate educational experience.
UC 160 (The OWU Experience) is the front door to The OWU Connection. In this course, first-year students plot their four-year connection path. Limited to 16 students, the course connects new students to Ohio Wesleyan, this diverse intellectual community, and the ethos of a liberal arts education.
In OWU’s 10-week Summer Science Research Program, you can carry out cutting-edge research side by side with faculty mentors. Students and faculty are fully engaged partners in research projects that can be excellent preparation for graduate school. Student research positions are funded.
The annual Student Symposium shows the breadth, innovation, and quality of work produced by Ohio Wesleyan students, featuring the research and creative work of students from across the academic spectrum. The symposium includes a poster session, selected research presentations, and performances of substantial work by individual or groups of students.
