2019 Commencement Excerpt
I am happy to announce that the winner of the Sherwood Dodge Shankland Award is Dr. Melanie Henderson – Professor of Psychology.
In six years at Ohio Wesleyan, Dr. Henderson has developed a reputation for being a creative and dynamic teacher who partners with students in collaborative learning experiences.
An alum – a former student of yours – said this about Dr. Henderson: She is easily one of the most passionate professors I had at OWU. Her style of teaching is something that stood out to me as she always worked to engage students and have us be a part of the lecture. Her classes were challenging but I always learned more in her classes than others.
It is a pleasure to present this award to Dr. Henderson.
