Summer Band Academy

The Ohio Wesleyan University Middle School Summer Band Academy is an opportunity for talented band and orchestra students from Ohio to receive world-class instruction in a one-week summer session. Our music experience is designed for middle-level musicians to enrich their understanding of music in an enjoyable, non-competitive program. In addition to rehearsals in the large ensemble, students will participate in instrument-specific master classes and activities throughout the week geared toward teamwork, creativity, critical thinking, and fun. The program will conclude with a band performance that is free and open to the public.
