1. Two contrasting works: one etude and one solo work, equivalent to a Class A/Level 5 difficulty level.
2. Major scales 2–3 octaves as is feasible, chromatic scale full range, moderate tempo, slurred and articulated.
3. Sight reading.

Oboe

1. One solo and one etude:
   • Solo to be chosen from this list:
     • Albinoni, Concertos in B-flat or D minor
     • Britten, Six Metamorphoses after Ovid
     • Cimarosa, Concerto for Oboe and Strings (C minor)
     • Handel, Sonata or Concerto
     • Haydn, Oboe Concerto
     • Marcello, Concertos in C or D minor
     • Mozart, Concerto in C or Quartet in F
     • Nielsen, Two Fantasy Pieces
     • Saint-Saëns, Sonata
   • Etude to be chosen from Barret, Oboe Method, or Progressive Melodies; Ferling, 48 Studies

Clarinet

   • Milde, Studies in Scales and Chords, Op. 24
2. One solo, chosen from:
   • Mozart, Concerto in Bb (mvts. 2 & 3)
   • Any Vivaldi concerto
   • Telemann, Bassoon Sonata in F minor
   • Galliard, 6 Sonatas (any one of the six)
