About

Alice Simon’s teaching areas included monetary and fiscal policy, consumer economics, and economic principles. Her areas of interest include consumer sovereignty and information search behaviors. She also served as Director of the Woltemade Center for Economics, Business, and Entrepreneurship. Simon has conducted policy research for the federal government as a staff economist at the Department of Health and Human Services and at the National Governors’ Association, and she has held the position of data archivist for the National Longitudinal Surveys of Labor Market Experience. She became a member of the faculty in 1985, and retired in 2021.
