Your curriculum covers basics of both financial and managerial accounting, along with tax and business law, preparing you for countless careers or for graduate study. If you plan to take the CPA exam in Ohio (or most other states), you'll need 150 hours of education (40 OWU units) with at least a bachelor's degree in accounting. Education beyond the four-year degree generally is required.

Alice Simon has conducted policy research for the federal government as a staff economist at the Department of Health and Human Services and at the National Governors’ Association.
Matt Vollrath joined OWU in 2017, after more than a decade of work in marketing and communications roles. He is the faculty advisor for DECA and the Ohio Wesleyan Marketing Group.
Goran Skosples won an LAS Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching by Graduate Teaching Assistants in 2005. His teaching focus includes economics of transition, macroeconomics, development economics, international economics, research methods and economic principles.
Will Georgic has focused his research on studying environmental problems likely to worsen with climate change (including flooding and harmful algal blooms) and informing more efficient policy decisions.
Julide Yazar completed her doctorate at The Ohio State University where she won the Outstanding Graduate Associate Teaching Award. She holds an M.B.A from Imperial College, London, UK. Her areas of specialization include game theory and mathematical economics.

Robert Gitter teaches courses in labor economics, his main field of interest, as well as public finance (the role of the government in the economy), principles and econometrics. Most of his research of late has focused on Mexican migration.
Barbara MacLeod has most recently had extensive professional experience in banking, asset/liability management in investments, and fixed-income investments. She teaches finance, international business, business of sports, and corporate strategy.
