Bishop ACCESS is a fee-based program that provides one-on-one academic coaching for students with executive function disabilities including, but not limited to, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Mental Health Disabilities.
Bishop ACCESS students meet and strategize regularly with a coach during their Academic Coaching Sessions and attend several Academic Skills and Campus Life Workshops facilitated by their coaches and/or campus community members.
First-year program participants navigate college life with the help of a peer mentor. Students are able to attend daily dedicated study tables with trained peer mentors and coaches for additional content and study strategy support.
Coaches communicate with the students and parents both at mid-term and at the end of every semester to provide a progress report of the student's academic experience and personal growth, describe executive functioning development, and identify program support plans. Additional program updates are communicated through semester newsletters to program students and parents.
