Kyle Herman (he/him) currently serves as a Program Manager at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), where he works on pro-democracy projects in Iraq and Lebanon focused on improving citizen participation and inclusive, responsive governance. In his free time, Kyle leads an all-volunteer nonpartisan nonprofit called Rank the Vote Ohio, which is focused on making elections more free and fair with Ranked-Choice Voting (Instant Runoffs).

Kyle's experience in government includes staffing President Obama as a writer in the White House Correspondence Office and serving as the assistant to the Mayor of Alexandria, Virginia. He previously spent two years teaching high school history and civics in Lebanon. Kyle is a 2015 graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a 2011 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University. He is open to:

  • Presenting to a class in-person
  • Presenting to a student organization
  • Conducting a virtual webinar
  • Assisting OWU Alumni (recent Alumni, or Alumni in transition)

While at OWU, Kyle majored in Politics & Government; International & Global Affairs. He participated in Cross Country, Track and Field Student Government (WCSA), Model UN, and President's Club.
