Student-Athlete Insurance

Ohio Wesleyan University Department of Athletics does not provide a supplemental Student-Athlete Insurance policy for injuries sustained while participating in intercollegiate athletics. 

In order to provide our student-athletes the best heath care, it is recommended by Ohio Wesleyan University and the Department of Athletics that all student-athletes ensure they have usable health coverage in the Central Ohio area. If your current insurance policy does not have available networks in the Central Ohio area, it is strongly recommended that you look into purchasing the Student Health Insurance policy to decrease the possibility of high out of pocket charges that may be incurred for any diagnostic procedures (i.e. x-ray, MRI, etc…) that need completed.

Due to Ohio Wesleyan University’s membership with the NCAA, we offer Catastrophic Insurance coverage. This policy goes into effect if an injury claims and bills exceed $90,000.
